Everyone’s Moving: Rooney to Paris and Bieber to Dubai

Bieber Moving to Dubai?

After the Anne Frank museum fiasco, poor Justin Bieber just wants to lie low for a while. So it makes sense for the Canadian singer to head somewhere even his millions of “Beliebers” would have trouble tracking him down – the United Arab Emirates.

Bieber is said to be looking at a private palace in Dubai to call home ahead of two shows there in May. The new place would go nicely next to the RM18 million seven-bedroom mansion in California he bought last year.

“He was going to stay in a hotel but is now looking at houses with a view to a long-term stay,” said a source from his entourage.

“Justin will have to behave though.”

That’s an understatement. For a young man with a penchant for making headlines in the ways that he does, surely the UAE sounds about as inviting a prospect as Kelantan.

Rooney Could Move to Paris

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are apparently convinced that they are set to sign Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney in an enormous RM118 million deal this summer, despite some reluctance from Old Trafford.

Yet the Qatari-financed team have suggested they have a clever way to sweeten the deal – by making an audacious RM187 million offer to take not just Rooney but his team-mate Nani.

A former advisor to the club this week appeared on French television to say that “Rooney to PSG is done. I announce from trusted sources, he will be at PSG next season.”

His confidence must be well-founded given that Rooney still has two years left on his Manchester United contract.

But with PSG seen as the new ‘super club’ after Manchester City’s recent spending spree, perhaps the lure of the lucre will be too hard for the 27-year-old to turn down.
